• Up to now,many computer viruses have presented in the world.The viruses always attack computer information resources,so that the dangers and damages forcomputers are increasingly heavy.thus,how to reduce the damages and how to protect computers from the viruses are the subjects which we should study.In this paper,we introduce the concept of virus and then analyse the mechanisms as well as the attacking procedures of viruses.Also we classify the viruses into four types which are operation system virus,intrusive virus,source code virus and shell virus. In the end,we propose a viewpoint of preventing viruses and suggest what the future viruseswill be.
