The interface of mainstream scheduling systems today is designed to Handel only a one to one dialogue between man and machine. There exist a large number of scheduling tasks which can obtain the benefit of greater efficiently with a more extensive many to many scheduling system. This paper proposes a design of a negotiation protocol for such a many to many multi-user scheduling system. We will concentrate our effort on specifying a multi-agent event scheduling algorithm and an underlying machine-machine interface.
