OCLC has recently reaffirmed its mission and prioritized Cataloging, Interlibrary Loan, and Reference services as primary activity goals. OCLC will install its New Network system on the Telenet optical fiber cable and implement PRISM service that aims the maximum use of micro-computers in libraries. EPIC, online reference services with a gateway connection to multiple databases, will expand OCLC's information services beyond bibliography. OCLC values the cooperation and collaboration of users, networks, and not-for-profit community as vital ingredients for its future success.
