Some sugar carbon sources affect flocculant production and cell morphology of Rhodococcues erythropolis S-1. Fructose was the most favorable for flocculant production. The cells were elongated, wile flocculating activity was low. The cells were rod-shaped when sucrose was used as the carbon source.
