Adenosine (phosphate) deaminase was effectively immobilized on a weakly basic anion-exchange resin, Duolite A-4,by the titanium complex method. The optimum pH and the stable pH of adenosine (phosphate) deaminase decreased by 0.5-1.0 pH units on immobilization. The immobilized enzyme had higher thermal stability than the free enzyme. The immobilized enzyme was stable enough to withstand 20 repeated uses for deamination of 3% 5'AMP, and the half-life of this preparation was 507 hr (21 days).
