• The writers thought it necessary to select the teaching contents, taking into consideration students' interest, ability and aptitude. For the purpose of presenting data for an appropriate teaching plan, the writers made an investigation. The items of the investigation were chosen from all the contents of home making education. A questionnaire was answered by students of both sexes of grades seven and ten. The results were : 1. Grade seven girls showed almost the same interest in clothing, food, housing and home management, but a little less interest in childcare. 2. Grade seven boys showed less interest than girl students in all the contents. They showed more interest in food and housing. 3. Except for childcare, grade ten girls showed less interest than grade seven girls. 4. Grade ten boys showed the least interest.
