Vibrations in the sewing machine operation make sewing performance worse. Moreover, vibrations cause worker's fatigue, and make work unpleasant. So, the decrease of the vibrations is an important subject in development of a sewing machine. Whereas shortening of the development period, a decrease for the development cost are being asked. But, because the mechanism of the sewing machine was complex, it was difficult to give a measure with predicting a vibration in the early stage of the development. Therefore, it was necessary to make a prototype for trial and error to prevent a vibration so far. So, we examined the use of computer aided mechanism analysis software. In this paper we confirmed that the vibration of the sewing machine could be predicted properly by using the computer aided mechanism analysis, and we introduce application of computer aided mechanism analysis to reduction of vibration of the sewing machines.
