Moment equations derived from the Boltzmann equation were applied to the problem of unsteady evaporation from liquid surface into its associated vapor. Boundary conditions for the higher moments of the velocity distribution function were derived with the aid of Grad's method for slip boundary conditions. Present results showed a good agreement with the previous results obtained by the kinetic theory analysis.
