Steady state motions of vortex filament and vortex ring were discussed. Impulsive motion and converging motion of vortex filament were simulated by use of the DSMC method and the results revealed that an isothermal solid rotation is the steady state of rotating fluid, i.e., homogeneous distribution of vorticity.
