This paper demonstrates how to apply Genetic Algorithms(GA) to analysis of heat conducting problems. A new fitness function taking account of energy balance was established. A set of computer codes was formulated to fulfill GA calculation. Calculated results by GA were compared with those obtained from Finite Differential Method(FDM). It is found that the GA suggested in this paper is applicable to heat transfer problems.
