This paper presents some validations of numerical predictions using experimental data for natural convection in a rectangular enclosure. One of the vertical walls of the test space was cooled to keep the surface temperature almost constant and the bottom wall surface was uniformly heated. In the calculations, several turbulence models were compared such as the standard k-ε model with wall functions, two layer model and low Reynolds number k-ε models. To resolve near wall regions, calculation mesh sizes were set small enough, and this often caused instability of calculations. None of the models give satisfactory results, however, the results of two-layer model are more acceptable than those of other models.
