A turbulent Prandtl number model (Pr_T model) for the temperature field analysis in rod bundle array is proposed. The previous studies on the Pr_T model have been limited to the simple geometries such as circular tubes and flat plates. It is quite uncertain that such models can be applied to rod bundle having secondary flow and strong anisotropy of turbulence intensity. In most previous turbulent parameters analyses, Pr_T has been used as a constant. However, recent researches suggest that Pr_T is a function of position and is affected by P/D, and molecular Prandtl number(Pr). In this study, the new Pr_T model for rod bundle is developed based on some recent measurements of Pr_Ts. The resultant Nusselt numbers using new model are compared with those from the experimental correlations. The new Pr_T model can predict the experimental data more exactly than the previous Pr_T model.
