621 Staged Regeneration Techniques for Sorption Cooling

Thermally activated sorption (absorption, adsorption and desiccant) systems are considered extremely promising as far as environmental protection, energy conservation and waste heat utilization. In this article, a brief description of the conventional, two-stage, three-stage adsorption cycles and a two-stage desiccant cycle are presented. The objectives are to outline the temperature suitability and possible applications of these energy conversion systems.
