Ni-Cr-Mo alloy, JHN-24 had developed as a new superheater tube material for advanced waste-to-energy plant. The desirable corrosion resistance of developed alloy was confirmed by laboratory test and exposure test in an actual waste incinerator. Some changes in mechanical properties corresponding to precipitation of very fine and coherent Pt_2Mo type intermetallic compound were observed after laboratory thermal exposure. This precipitated phase did not seem to bring deleterious effect on mechanical properties such as other intermetallic compounds in Ni-Cr-Mo system.
