Debonding strength of a GFRP is investigated under dynamic loading. The specimen is subjected to stress wave loading. A circumferential V notched is machined in the middle section of each specimen. The fracture initiates from the notch root and propagates to the interface. Using data gathered from a finite element analysis the separated dynamic J integral is computed. The result shown the critical dynamic J integral is larger than static J integral.
