In recent years, poles for trekking are frequently used when we climb the mountains. According to some reports, the present poles for trekking have some problems in adjustment of the length, though they seems light and strong enough. To keep their safety, we are going to establish the safety standard. We measured the force to act on a pole for trekking to stipulate the force of act that are needed for verification of safety standard. We also surveyed the torque force that are needed for the adjustment of the length, especially for the aged. We will report the result of measurement.
