The anaphylactic shock was induced in dogs by sensitization of the dogs with egg alubumin and the liver tissues were successively obtained from the dogs and the glycogen in them was quantatively measured. The liver glycogen was gradually decreased after the shock. The simultaneous histological studies, using PAS stain, revealed that this decrease occured mainly in the cells located at the central zone of the hepatic lobules. The changes of the blood white cells in number by the shock was investigated in the hepatic and pfortal vein blood obtained separately by hepatic catheters. The number of white cells decreased in minimum 5 minutes after the shock and then gradually increased. The decrease was more marked in the hepatic vein blood than in the pfortal vein blood and this suggests the sequestration of the cells in the liver. Many white cells were observed in the hepatic sinusoids in the histological preparations stained with hematoxylin and eosin.
