• The reversed flow region length of a sphere wake was measured by the smoke wire method between a subcritical Reynolds number and a supercritical Reynolds number ; 10^5 to 4×10^5. On the critical Reynolds number range, the sudden decreased in the reversed flow length of a sphere wake as wall as in the value of the drag coefficient of a sphere. The reversed flow length against Reynolds number draws a hysteresis line as the drag coefficient draws.
