In the 1st report, the author obtained the pipe entrance loss in viscous fluid from the view point of the dissipation energy when a pipe inlet has a roundness and the fluid flows slowly. In this paper, the pipe entrance loss was obtained by the same method for a taper type entrance and for a capillary viscometer. The author distinctly showed the relations between the angle and the loss at an entrance. Using the nozzles whose entrance angles were different, the author obtained experimentally the sum of the end corrections of a pipe inlet and exit. The results are as follows. (1) An entrance loss increases with the decreases of its angle, and this tendency is remarkable at a small angle. (2) According to the experimental results, the sum of the additional loss at a pipe inlet and exit shows the same tendency as (1). (3) When the exit surface is perpendicular to the hole and the fluid flows out into the air, the coefficient of an exit correction is smaller than that of an inlet and is about 0.30.
