Formulas for estimating stresses in a bevelled serration shaft, the teeth of which are cut along the generating line of a cone, were obtained. The mean shearing stresses and apparent bending stresses at the bottom of the teeth, the pressure at the contact surface of the teeth, the thrust produced in the axial direction, are culculated by the formulas obtained in the case a torque or a lateral load is applied to the shaft. Some examples of stress culculation were given.
