• The present paper deals with the characters of the first zoea of Pugettia quadridens (DE HAAN) (Brachyura, Majidae) collected on the Pacific coast of the south-western Hokkaido, North Japan. The AiKAWA'S first zoea of P. quadridens (AlKAWA '29, '33) collected on the Pacific coast of the southern Kanto District, Middle Japan, is compared in characters with the present one. The differences lying between the both larvae seem to be useful for the identification of the species.
