Spontaneous Disappearance of a Cerebral Arteriovenous Malformation : Case Report

脳動静脈奇形(AVM)の自然消失はAVMの2.2%に見られるという報告があるが、比較的稀な経過といえる。文献上我々が知りえる限りでは過去に28例報告されているのみである。今回我々は、痙攣発作で発症し経過観察中に自然消失をきたしたAVMの1例を経験したので過去の28例を含め若干の考察とともにここに報告する。自然消失をきたした29例は男性18例、女性11例で、診断から消失までの平均期間は7.7年であった。大きさは小〜中型で頭頂葉に位置しACA、MCAのいずれか1本の技をfeederとする場合が多いようである。また22例で発症時あるいは経過中にAVMからの出血をきたしており、出血がAVMの自然消失と深く関わっているものと考えられる。
