Grotnnd-state properties are exanained for an extended two-channel Kondo naodel xvlaere theHilbert space of the localized states is extended to inclttde a singlet state in addition to thedotmblet states. By rneans of' zero-th order v?triation;tl wavefunctions with different sytmunetries, which are associated with the non-Fernai-liqtrid and the Fernai-liquid grotund states, we denaon-strate that the channel exchange coupling viar the loc?tlized singlet state stabilizes the Ferraai-liquidwaveftrnction. The grotund-statte phase di?tgrarns, which ?tre in qtralitative agreetnent witlt theprevuotus sttrdy jcerf'ormed by Koga and Shiba, are obtained. The cornparisora to the strtrcttrre of'the restmltant wavef'trnctions strggests th?tt a trniqtte nota-Fermi-liquid (Fertaai-liquid) fixed pointexusts, urrespectuve of the localized grotrnd state.
