• By rnaking use of the Luttinger-Tisza naethod on the classical Heisenberg model, we examinehow the isochoric distortions affect the frustrated spin systern 111 YlVIIl2 wuth the cvrbuc Lavesphase strvrcture. The distance dependece of the exchange parameter is taken into account byperturbational calculation. It is shown that the spin system orders in layered configurations orthe YlVIIl2 type configuration under the infltrence of' tetragonal distortion.
