The atomic operators with characteristic oscillations at the peak frequenciesof each of the three split components in the scattering of an intense monochromaticelectromagnetic field by a two-level atom are determined. The coupling of theatom-applied-field system with the damping oscillators via these operators isinvestigated to evaluate the spectrum of the scattered light when the seplrationof the spectral lines is much larger than their widths.
