On the Significance of the Atomic Operators Characteristic of the Split Components in the Study of the Resonanc Fluorescence from A Two-Level Atom

It is shown that the atomic operators characteristic of the split componentsin the resonance fluorescence produced by a two-level atom obtained earlier (J.Phys. Soc. Jpn. 47 (1979) 903) are essentially the transition operators for thecomposite atom-applied-field system. The exact relationship between these twosets of operators is determined.
