The susceptibility to the homogeneous magnetic field is calculated at theabsolute zero of temperature for several ferromagnetic transition-metal alloys(bcc Fe-Ni, Fe-Co and Fe-LV) by use of an effective-medium theory of local-environment effect developed by Hamada and Miwa within the Hartree-Fockapproximation. It is shown that the susceptibility is sometimes dominated bythe atom with a particular local environment. The effect of the deformation ofthe local density of states due to the magnetic field is discussed in detail.
