A new type of flow which is induced by thermal stress in rarefied gas is presented by investigating a behavior of gas around a sphere with a constant temperature which is placed in an infinite expanse of gas at rest with a unifotm temperature gradient. The analysis is based on the asymptotic theory for slightly rarefied gas developed by the author. A flow with magnitude of the order of the Kundern number squared is induced from hotter region. the sphere is subject to a force in the direction of the given temperature gradient.
