The quadrupole coupling constants of V^<51> and Na^<23> have been studied in some vanadates. The results are discussed with respect to structural information, and the quadrupole moment of V^<51>. On the basis of V^<51> coupling constants in vanadates, which are of the order of 3 Mc/s, and other experimental informations, it is concluded that the most appropriate value for Q is -0.04 barn.
