The Fermi liquid model predicts that the magnetic susceptibility of a Fernai liquid shotuld universally exhibit a naaximum as a ftrnction of teunperattrre. This ttniversality h?ts been confirmedthrough observations in itinerant electron systenas in 3d, 4d ;xnd 5d metals. Here we argtre thatthe maximum should be observed in liquid 'He. We estimate the tenaperature of' the unaximtrmand the peak height of the susceptibility f'or liquid 'He from theory and experiment. We pre-diet that the strsceptibility increases by O.24% for the tennperatttre range of O mK to 40 ITIK, atwhich the susceptibility nearly becomes rnaxinatm?n. The possibility of detecting this maximumis discussed.
