An exact analytical solution fo?- T.= T, and an approximate sc>lution for T.: Thave been obtained for the unidimensional non-linear Debye poteuttial. The approx-imate expression is a solution of tlte Poisson equation obtained by expanding up tothird order the Boltzmann's factors. The analysis shows that the effective Debyescreening length can be quite different from the usual Debye Iengtl?, when the poten-Vial to thermal energy ratio of the particles is not much smaller than unity.
