The phase transition of K.Ba(NO.). at T.= -74'C has been investigated by X-raydiffraction. In the low-temperature phase (I< -74'C), superlattice reflections areobserved at body center positions (h -F- l /2, k-1- I /2, l-F 1 /2). In this phase, we find an-tiferroelectric order of NO.-groups. Diffuse scattering above T. is found to beanisotropic. It is suggested that the transition has two-dimensional nature.
