Field reversed equilibria with plasma outside the separatrix are investigated by twodimensional numerical study and analysis with use of a long thin plasma model. Theouter plasma is assumed to be at rest and the pressure profile pay) to be p(yt)C(b -p-l-ep'), where C, b and f are constants. As described in linear case (e=0)[J. Phys. Soc. Jpn. 54 (1985) 2155], the solution has two critical p, value 73.. and /7...:the surface y=0 is open for p,.<p.<p... and two dimensional equilibria do not existfor p,>p,... The values 73.. and p,.. are shown strongly dependent on the non-linearparameter c: p..=O.49, p...=0.F37 for e= -l and p..=O.O4, p...=0.42 for e=0.9.Decrease of e is found to be favorable to obtain closed y=0, while increase of e isfavorable to increase the plasma radius and to supress the micro instability due to thepressure gradient.
