A weak evaporation from a droplet was studied based upon a linearized kineticmodel equation which yields correct thirteen moments derived from the Boltzmannequation. The basic equation was solved using a singular perturbation method.Obtained results showed that density and temperature jumps at the dropletsurface were weakly dependent upon the model equations if they were measured inthe same length scale and against certain extensive values such as mass flux or heatflux. These extensive values of order 0(Kn) were, however, dependent upon thePrandtl number through the heat conductivity, while they were little dependentupon a scaling factor of the collision frequency. The thickness of the Knudsenlayer was however stretched by the inverse of the scaling factor compared withthe one of the BGK model equation.
