The effects of suction and Hall currents on unsteady flow of an electricallyconducting fluid past a uniformly accelerated flat porous plate imbedded in auniform external magnetic field transverse to it is considered. It is assumed thatthe induced magnetic field is negligible compared to the imposed magnetic field.Series solutions for velocity and skin-friction are obtained under the assumptionthat the hydromagnetic parameter (Ml) is small. The profiles for the velocitycomponents are shown graphically with the effects of the Hall parameter m, thehydromagnetic parameter (Mt), and the suction parameter at. The numericalvalues of the skin-friction components are given in tabular form for differentvalues of?the parameters.
