The intensity distribution of wave field in a perfect crystal of rectangular formis calculated for a very narrow incident wave by numerically solving Takagi'sequations. The result is displayed by the graphics and interpreted in comparisonwith the analytic solutions of the partial differential equations. Most part of theincident wave propagates straight without being diffracted inside the crystal evenwhen it satisfies the Bragg condition. Upon hitting a side face of rectangularcrystal it is shown to be reflected back inside the crystal and to interfere with theBragg diffraction already excited in the crystal.
