Formation of Streamwise Vortices in the Flow past a Corner

The flow past a corner where two plane walls meet at an angle less than 180'is examined by means of flow visualization methods. It is found that the boundarylayer forms streamwise vortices at the corner, whether the boundary layer islaminar or turbulent.
