The decomposition kinetics of an Fe -Cr alloy which lies in the unstable region hasbeen studied by neutron small-angle scattering. The time evolution of scatteredintensity is not consistent with Cahn's classical theory of spinodal decomposition, butwith the recent theories and the Monte Carlo simulations of the phase separation ofalloys.
