A generalization of the theory of fluctuations in fluids of Landau and Lifshitzis presented on the basis of the stochastic Boltzmann equation and it is appliedto the light scattering from a fluid in a nonequilibritun stationary state. Thedensity correlation function is calculated, which agrees qualitatively with that ofthe nonlinear theory of kinetic equation approach of Kirkpatrick and Cohen.
