EPR of Ni" diluted in single crystal of Zn(BF.).6H,0 was recorded between98 and 298 K. The thermal variations of the spin Hamiltonian pararneters g,7, g.and D, and the Iinewidth of tlae spectra showed anomalous be]?avior whencompared with previous work in the isomorphous Ni(BF.).6H,0. TIIIC anomaliesare attributed to a phase transition of second order with 1.:181 K. D variesIinearly with temperature and the linewidth as 4H=a-fbT' simiIa.r to verifiedpreviously in the Ni compound. The phase transition occurs with a change inthe coefficients of these laws. From the Iinewidth, a spin-lattice rel,axation timeT. is determined as 10 ' to 10-" s.
