EPR spectra of Ni(BF.).6H.0 single crystal were obtained between 100 Kand 300 K. An analysis of the spectra indicated a slightly distorted crystal fieldfrom the cubic symmetry, with trigonal axis along the c-axis of the crystal. Thespin Hamiltonian parameters g77, g. and D were determined in the above rangeof temperatures. D varies linearly as 7)=0.O2l(l 4-0.0817')cm ' probably due tothe phonon modulation of the octahedron of the 6H.0 charges. The line-widthof the spectra obeys a ,4H.,=a4bT' law. The quadratic term comes from thespin-lattice relaxation by a two-phonon Raman process and the constant termrepresents spin-spin interaction contribution. No phase transition was detectedand it is likely that this. salt is more stable than some other isomorphous com-potmds where structure transformation was observed.
