Preequilibrium a omission from "N-induced reactions on various heavytargets has been studied to derive local nuclear temperature involved in the hot-spot model. The resultant values of temperature after subtracting the equilibriumvalue fall almost exponentially with the increasing emission angles in all cases, from which we obtain 1.8 x 10 " sec as the nuclear relaxation time.
