Magnetic circular polarization effects on the phonon Raman scattering ofCdCr.S. are investigated iva the Faraday configuration. Anomalous intensitydifferences of srin-derendent tvhouaon lines are observed between two spectra withdifferent circular polarization configurations which are equivalent withoutconsidering the magnetization vector. This phen<>menon is<jualitatively explainedby the effect of resonance with "red-shifting" tfansition;; which have specificcircular polarization properties at low temperatures below '7'(.
