A variable amplitude method developed within nonrelativistic quantummechanics is applied to scatterings of charged particles with a screened Coulombpotential in a uniform magnetic field. Transmission and reflection coefficientsin a case of electron scattering are calculated for transitions from the Landauorbital specified by quantum numbers n and m to the one specified by those n' andm in the range of incident energy along the magnetic field from l to 10' eV andin that of the magnetic field from 10' to 10" Gauss. Results are compared withthose obtained by a Born-like approximation and the applicability of the lattermethod to this problem is discussed.
