An exact solution is given for the flow and heat transfcr characteristics of aconducting liquid past an infinite porous flat plate taking Hall effects into account. It isfound that the shear stress at the plate (electrically non-conducting) for the primaryflow is independent of the magnetic field as well as the Hall parameter while that for thecross-flow vanishes at the plate. This asymptotic solution exists for suction velocitygreater than the Alfv6n velocity.
