It is theoretically predicted that an MHD insta.bility is in<luced by an energeticion beam which is rotating azim.uthally about t]?e axis of a magnetized plasmacolumn. The beam-plasma system becomes unstable if the dertsity of the embeddedion beam. exceeds a critical value.
