The theorem of mninimunt entropy production is generalized to be applicable totreating thermodynamically the thermoelectric power generator. In this generali-zation the energy dissipation is shown to be a more adequate concept thanthe entropy production for constructing the minimum principle. By extendingOnsager's idea concerning the equivalence between the regression of fluctuationand the macroscopic irreversible process, the minimum principle is proposed forthe case in which steady current flows in an external static field, which is shownto be tuseful for nonlinear as well as linear processes.
