The optical spectrum of a two-dimensional hydrogenic exciton in the present of a static and uniform magnetic field is studied by use of a numerical method. In the second paper of this series the same problem has been treated by the WKB method for the "allowed case". In this work some forbidden cases are studied in addition to the allowed case. The results show a good agreement with that obtained by the WKB method except for the region of extremely high magnetic fields. In the region of extremely high magnetic fields the factor-2-discrepancy which appeared in the WKB calculations of the relative intensity is removed in the present work. The interchange of the relative intensities among the forbidden transition lines (∣m∣=1) is predicted when the magnetic field is increased.
