A Theoretical Model for Cuprate Superconductors

Recently, we have proposed a d-p-p model for cuprate superconductors (C.S.) inwhich doped p. holes itinerate and are subjected to an effective attractive interactionby exciton-like mechanisms (J. Phys. Soc. Jpn. 58 (1989) 3473) of d-p. system. In thispaper, we extend the theory to finite temperatures and derive an expression for T. as afunction of doping density, assuming anisotropic Cooper pairing. We also show thatthe theory can be convertible to describe electron doped C.5. and discuss the pressureeffect on T. giving a suggestion on the origin of sharp difference between hole-dopedand electron-doped C.S.
