The necessity for the study of the Oseen approximation to viscous gas flow isstressed in connection with actual r>roblems such as for stir flow. Some neneralproperties of the arr>roximation are derived under a few assumr>tions to showhow the results of usual Oseen ar>r>roximation to incomr>ressible flow be modified.
